I’m pregnant.

I spent ages trying to figure out the best way to say it, write it, hint at it etc. I was trying to be witty and cute and all that, but in the end, I am a little preoccupied and just don’t seem the have the brain power to be as witty as I (would like to think I) once was.

Anyway, back to the topic at hand. I am almost 18 weeks pregnant, and have been pretty miserable with morning sickness since the whole thing started.

Now to your questions:

I am due on December 30. (Those of you who know the desdain I hold for my own way-too-close-to-Christmas-birthday will wonder why the hell I have done this to my own child. I have no freaking idea.)
Yes, we planned it, as much as you can ever plan for this kind of thing.
No, we do not have any names picked out yet.
Yes, of course we are thrilled.
No, we don’t know what we are having, and haven’t really decided if we want to know.
Although I would love to think I am starting to show, I think I am still in that “Oh that poor fat lady” phase. Oh well.
Yes, I have felt the baby move - just this morning in fact I got a nice little kick that for the first time left me no doubt what I was feeling.

Anyway, that is what has been occupying my life for the last few months. Between throwing up and preparing to throw up I have been doing a lot of sleeping which hasn’t left room for much else. As I move away from the constant nausea, get a bigger belly and start feel the baby move the whole “miracle” part of the process is definitely starting to sink in.
